Alive & Rooted: The Seasonal Retreats
Nature has always known what we sometimes forget — that life moves in cycles, and each season carries its own wisdom, its own invitation, and its own particular kind of medicine. Alive & Rooted is a series of four seasonal retreats designed for those who are ready to move with those rhythms rather than against them. Grounded in the philosophy of The Shifted Life, each retreat weaves together personal reflection, community connection, mindful movement, and a deep honoring of the natural world. Whether you join for one season or all four, you will leave with more than insight — you will leave more fully yourself, more deeply rooted in what matters, and more alive to the beauty of the chapter you are living right now.
The Four Retreats
Alive & Rooted: The Still (Winter) Winter asks us to do what our culture rarely gives us permission to do — to stop. To rest. To turn inward and sit quietly with who we are becoming. The Still is a retreat for releasing what the year has asked of you, for grieving what needs to be grieved, and for listening to the seeds of wisdom that only grow in the silence. This is the season of deep roots, of starlit skies, and of the kind of renewal that can only begin in rest.
Alive & Rooted: The Thaw (Spring) Something in you has been waiting. The Thaw is a retreat for the tender and courageous act of beginning again — of letting what has been frozen in you start to move. We explore the edges of new identity, new possibility, and new ways of being in the world, honoring both the vulnerability and the extraordinary courage it takes to bloom at any age. Spring doesn’t ask whether you are ready. It simply begins. So can you.
Alive & Rooted: The Bloom (Summer) This is the season of full presence — of showing up in the world with color, with voice, and with the particular beauty that only you carry. The Bloom is a retreat for stepping into visibility, for celebrating the life you have built and the person you are still becoming, and for connecting deeply with a community of others who are doing the same brave work. Summer is generous. So are you, when you let yourself be.
Alive & Rooted: The Turning (Autumn) There is a particular kind of grace that comes with letting go. The Turning is a retreat for the art of release — of old stories, old roles, and old ways of measuring a life’s worth — and for discovering the extraordinary richness that remains when we stop holding on so tightly. Autumn teaches us that surrender is not loss. It is how a tree makes room for what comes next. It is, perhaps, the most radical act of trust there is.
